The Ballroom Culture We Wish to Create
Partner dance is enjoyable as long as it is based on mutual respect and trust. At Harmony Ballroom, we desire to create a culture in which you can feel comfortable and have fun.

Our Ballroom Culture
We want to create a positive environment that encourages learning for everyone through mutual trust and respect of teachers and students. If you have any questions, please contact us.
-
We have a 24-hour cancellation policy for private lessons. Failure to cancel within 24 hours of a private lesson or no-shows will result in a charge for that lesson. Missed group lessons are not transferrable or reimbursed. Make-ups are allowable within the six-week workshop period, but not beyond it.
-
Be on time to your class. If you are running late to your private lesson, please call or send a text. If you are late to a group lesson, you are welcome to join in, but the instructor will not be able to start over for you.
-
Please silence your cell phones. If you have an emergency, please make the call off the dance floor.
-
Ballroom dancing is a close contact sport. Remember mints and deodorant.
-
Our group classes welcome students of all levels. Please abide by the standard policy: “Students don’t correct other students.” When the instructor chooses not to correct something, it is for a reason.
-
Questions are always welcome. When registering for a class, talk to us about proper placement, as some classes are aimed at beginning dancers and others are geared more towards advanced students.
-
Please keep your comments positive during group classes. If you have a disagreement with the instructor, address it privately with him or her.
-
Dance shoes are preferred, but dress shoes or socks are welcome.
Please keep these etiquette policies in mind when you are at Harmony Ballroom, and also when you are a guest at other studios. We love hearing positive feedback from other professionals about our students. Thank you!
