Ingrid began her studies of dance at the age of four in her home country of Germany. Her early training included ballet and lyrical, followed by jazz, modern, and contemporary. When she was twelve, she found her passion in ballroom dancing, and became a gold star-level ballroom champion, competing in International Standard Ballroom through the highest amateur levels of the ADTV (German Dance Teachers Association), now DPV, member body in the World Dance Council. Since coming to the United States, Ingrid has enjoyed sharing her love for dance in many diverse settings, from her kitchen floor with her husband and four children to professional settings, like the Spokane Civic Theatre, Spokane Valley Summer Theatre, Whitworth University, various area High Schools, and the Oaks Conservatory for the Creative and Performing Arts, where she has been teaching and inspiring students of dance both as a choreographer and dance instructor. Ingrid studied theater and dance at Whitworth University and is currently pursuing her dream of directing a School of Ballroom Dance in Spokane.
